Description Size of males is between 50 and 62 mm, females between 80 and 88.8 mm. Color is dorsally light brown to yellowish. Body laterally and feet are darker brown. This species looks similar to Bufo melanostictus. Distribution and Habitat Country distribution from AmphibiaWeb's database: Sri Lanka
This toad is endemic to the south-western wet zone of Sri Lanka and only found at a few places: Sinharaja Forest, Kanneliya Forest, Udugama. Most of specimens were found next to human settlements: Tea plantation, inside a village and a few from the forest flor(Manamendra and Pethiyagoda 1998). .
