Description
Holotype: Female, 88.8 mm SVL, WHT2270.

Size of males is between 50 and 62 mm, females between 80 and 88.8 mm. Color is dorsally light brown to yellowish. Body laterally and feet are darker brown. This species looks similar to Bufo melanostictus.

Terra typica Koskulana (near Panapola), Sri Lanka, 460m NN (06°25`N, 80°27`E)

This toad is endemic to the south-western wet zone of Sri Lanka and only found at a few places: Sinharaja Forest, Kanneliya Forest, Udugama. Most of specimens were found next to human settlements: Tea plantation, inside a village and a few from the forest flor(Manamendra and Pethiyagoda 1998). . The author once found B. noellerti inside the Sinharaja Forest.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Very little is known about the life history of this species. The author once found a specimen active at daytime.
