This species occurs in Chingaza, Sumapaz, and Altiplano Cundiboyacense within the departments of Cundinamarca and Boyacá, Colombia, between 2,500–3,600 m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
This species occurs in cloud forests, páramo, and open areas. It also occurs in pastures as long as there are shrubs, and adapts well to disturbance. Reproduction is by direct development.
It is an abundant species, and the population trend is believed to be stable.
The threats to this species are unknown, however it is tolerant to a degree of habitat modification.
This species occurs in Parques Nacionales Naturales Chingaza and Sumapaz.
More information is needed on this species' distribution, population status and trends.

Least Concern (LC)
Listed as Least Concern because, despite having a relatively restricted extent of occurrence (EOO = 6,406 km2), it is tolerant of a degree of habitat modification, it occurs in several protected areas, and it has a presumed large, stable population.
