Originally known from Valle de Sibundoy in Colón, San Francisco and Sibundoy municipalities, Putumatyo, Colombia, 2200–2750 m elevation (Mueses-Cisneros 2007). Reported at several localities between 2286–2600 m in Provincia Sucumbio, Ecuador (Yánez-Muñoz et al 2012).
