South-western Queensland and north-western New South Wales. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 325100 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Found in a wide variety of dry woodland (mulga woodland) and plains habitats. Often in association with river overflows and at waterholes. Breeds in areas temporarily flooded by spring and summer rains. Breeding and larvae unknown.

No known declines and extent of occurrence >20,000km2.
