Description H. bobirensis is in many respects similar to H. zonatus, a vicariating form from further west. It differs in being larger, with a warty rather than smooth dorsum, and with much dilatable skin around the large gular flap. The tadpoles have a long tail (190–210% of body length) and the usual tooth formula of 1/1+1,2. Distribution and Habitat Country distribution from AmphibiaWeb's database: Ghana
