Range Description

This species is known from Macizo de Guaramacal, in the Cordillera de Merida in Trujillo state, Venezuela. It has been recorded from 1,800-2,400m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It is a terrestrial species found on rocks in cloud forest. It breeds by direct development.


It is a common species.

Major Threats

Threats to this species are unclear; its small range probably makes it more susceptible to stochastic threatening processes.

Conservation Actions

Its range includes Parque Nacional Guaramacal. Further survey work is needed to determine the threats to this species, and to monitor its population status.
