This species is found in the eastern half of Papua New Guinea. It has been recorded up to 1,300m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
This species inhabits low vegetation in tropical rainforest. It is a direct developing species that breeds on the top of forest floor vegetation in valleys.
It is relatively common and regularly encountered.
There are no known threats to this species.
The species' range includes Lakamu Wildlife Management Area.
Red List Status
Least Concern (LC)
Listed as Least Concern in view of its wide distribution, presumed large population, and because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category.
