Etymology: The species epithet, “williamsi,” pays tribute to Robert Williams, the former Field Supervisor of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Gordon et al. 2017). He is noted for his considerable contribution towards conservation of fauna in Nevada and California. |
