An'Ala, Andasibe, Anjanaharibe, Vohidrazana (Glaw and Vences 2007). It occurs between 500-1,200 m asl, along brooks in primary forest (Andreone and Glaw 2008).Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors Habits: In rainforests, calling from elevated positions of 2-4 m in the vegetation along streams (Glaw and Vences 2007). Breeding takes place in streams (Andreone and Glaw 2008).
Calls: A series of 4-5 "metallic" double-click notes (Glaw and Vences 2007).
Trends and Threats Locally abundant but seasonal. It occurs in three protected areas: the Réserve Spéciale d'Analamazaotra, and Masoala and Marojejy National Parks. It has not been found in degraded habitat (Andreone and Glaw 2008).
