Description A member of the ocellata group with the following combination of characters: 1) vomerine dentition present, 2) bones green in life, 3) parietal peritoneum white, 4) dorsal color in life is green with many white tubercles, 5) snout truncated when viewed dorsally, truncated and sloped anteroventrally when viewed laterally, 6) ulnar and tarsal tubercles absent, 7) tympanum is ¾ visible Adults attain a large size; females reach 37.6mm SVL, males reach 30.5-34.6mm SVL. Head a lot wider than body and wider than long; head width is 36.1-39.1% SVL. Distance from nostril to anterior portion of eye is 58.7-71.4% diameter of eye. Length of tibia is 60.1-63.0% SVL. When hind limbs are adpressed anteriorly, the ankles pass the most anterior portion of the snout. Distribution and Habitat

Known from the western side of the Cordillera occidental of Colombia in the departments of Antioquia and Risaralda between 800 and 1280m. The type locality was at the departament of Risaralda, county of Mistrató, Puerto de Oro, western slopes of the Cordillera Occidental, 5° 25´ latitude N, 76° 0´ W of Greenwich, 1060-1140 m.Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors Adults found on vegetation bordering gaps. Female was found to contain eggs (yolk cream colored) and oviducts were very thick and contorted. Possible reasons for amphibian decline General habitat alteration and loss
