Description
A medium-sized Hyperolius (males 29.5-34 mm, females 27.3-30 mm). Females are smaller than the males. Ph. J. in life: Dorsum olive to translucent dark green with light green hour-glass pattern forming a non-divided outline on the back. Ventrum yellowish to greyish. Ph. F.: Dorsum dark brown to black with light greenish spots. Hidden parts of toes and limbs bright red. Ventrum yellow (Lötters and Schmitz 2004).

Found in the Bakossi Mountains, southwestern Cameroun, at 1,100-1,250 m. in elevation (Lötters and Schmitz 2004).

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Frogs were observed sitting in lower grass vegetation in areas with ferns, at the outer margins of disturbed primary forest patches (Lötters and Schmitz 2004).
