Description This Cameronese species is probably identical to what is called H. platyceps langi from Uganda (Schiøtz 1975), while H. langi from eastern R. D. Congo may be a composite, including H. kuligae. This species is also very similar to the more western Hyperolius sylvaticus. It differs in being smaller and having a much more variable gular flap. Furthermore the voice is different. Distribution and Habitat Country distribution from AmphibiaWeb's database: Cameroon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the, Gabon, Uganda
