Description
A rather large Leptopelis (up to 50 mm) from southern Drakensberg, South Africa. Fingers and toes long, webbing reduced, no discs. Dorsum granular, unpatterned green. Ventrum creamy white.
Males call from well-concealed positions at the base of grass tussocks and from burrows in the marshes. The voice consists of one or two brief croaks, separated by long intervals, and sometimes preceded by a quiet buzzing.

Apparently rare. Found in upland marshy areas with high grass tussocks in the foothills of the southern Drakensberg Mountains, southern KwaZulu-Natal. They may sometimes climb vegetation.
