Range Description

This species is known from localities across much of New Britain Island, Papua New Guinea.

Habitat and Ecology

It has been recorded from plantations, indicating perhaps some degree of tolerance to habitat modification, where it was calling from beneath coconut husks and leaves. It presumably also occurs in rainforest.

Population

The population status is unknown. It is not known whether or not it has been collected since it was first described.
