This species is known only from the type locality, Namosado, in Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, at 930m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It inhabits the forest floor in tropical rainforest, and is likely to have an aquatic larval stage.

There is no information on its population status, and it has not been recorded since it was first described.
