Taxonomic Notes: While not formally treated by Oliver LA, Prendini E, Kraus F, Raxworthy CJ 2015 Systematics and biogeography of the Hylarana frog (Anura: Ranidae) radiation across tropical Australasia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Mol Phylog Evol 90: 176-192, Frost (Amphibian Species of the World 6.0 8/27/2015) treats it as "Hylarana", noting that it is most likely not a member of the now small monophyletic clade Hylarana.
