Description
Austrochaperina adamantina has a narrow and truncate head when viewed dorsally and slightly rounded in lateral view. Loreal region is almost vertical and slightly concave. Nostrils not visible dorsally. Eyes visible beyond the border of the maxillae when viewed ventrally. Eyelid width equal to interorbital space. Dorsal and ventral skin are smooth except for posterior regions of the dorsum where you find warts. The supratympanic fold is weak and diagonal. This is a moderately sized frog at 28 mm SVL. Relative finger lengths are as follows: 3>4>2>1. All with broad grooved discs with that of the third finger twice the width of the penultimate phalanx. Toes are unwebbed and have the following relative lengths: 4>3>5>2>1. Terminal toe discs are well developed.

Coloration for A. adamantine is that of a dorsally tan with indistinct darker mottling. The lateral portions of the face are paler. Throat and hind legs are slightly darker.

Nothing known about the habitat, but it is found in the Torricelli Mountains along with A. basipalmata and A. aquilonia, in West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea on Mount Nibo at elevations between 700 and 1550.
