Description
Rulyrana susatamai has the following characteristics: 1) vomerine dentition present, 2) bones green in life, 3) parietal peritoneum (1/2-2/3 of anterior portion of belly) white, 4) color in life dorsally is dark green with many fine yellow spots, 5) rostrally subovoid when viewed dorsally and truncated when viewed laterally, 6) dorsal skin smooth with small tubercles, 7) lacks ulnar and tarsal folds, 8) humeral spine absent, 9) ¾ of tympanum visible. Adults of medium size, males reach 22.3-25.6mm SVL, females reach 26.9-27.4mm. Head slightly wider than body, head width 34.4-38.3% SVL. Distance from nostril to anterior portion of eye is 6 1.3-79.3% diameter of eye. Diameter of eye is 39.7-43.1% length of head. Length of tibia is 53.3-63.9% SVL. When hind limbs adpressed anteriorly, ankle lies between anterior portion of eye and tip of snout.

Known from the easter side of the cordillera Central of Colombia in the department of Antioquia, counties of Cocorna, Caldas, and Tolima at elevations between 900 and 1650m. Its type locality is in the departament of Tolima, county of Falan, through the highway 1 km. before de Falan, on the western slope of the Cordillera Central, 5° 3´ latitud N, 74° 58´ W of Greenwich, 900 m.

Adults were found on vegetation and rocks on the border of breaks in the forest
