Range Description
This species is known only from Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea, occurring below 1,000m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
It inhabits rainforest, but also lives in gardens, villages, towns, and other anthropogenic habitats. It is a species that breeds by direct development and lays its eggs on the ground.
Population
It is a common species.

Major Threats
The war in Bougainville has probably minimised impacts of logging, but it is doubtful that this species would be adversely affected by logging.

It is not known from any protected areas.
