Description Coloration in life is brown dorsally to coppery brown with dark brown transverse bands and yellow dorsolateral lines. The thighs are olive-green with diagonal brown bars. The loreal region is brown and the tympanum ochre. Posterior surfaces of thighs dull yellow with a dark brown throat with chest, belly, and undersides of limbs red. Iris is bronze or brown above with red below. Skin on dorsum is smooth while venter is areolate. Discoidal fold is prominent and dorsolateral folds absent. Most easily confused with P. rosadoi in color patterns (in preservative), however P. colomai differs in its protruding snout, calcar on the heel, and lacks tubercles on the upper eyelid; also has a white mesorchium whereas it is black in P. rosadoi. All discs bear broad ventral pads with complete circumferential grooves; nuptial pad is white and on median surface of thumb above joint with metacarpal. There is a diffuse darker pattern from the interocular region posterior to the postsacral region where it forms a vague X-shape.
