Description
M 15-17 mm. Hand without webbing, foot with rudimentary webbing. Dorsal skin smooth. An inconspicuous small brown frog. Usually without vertebral line. Distribution and Habitat

Males call during the day and at night from the ground or very low in the vegetation above small and shallow puddles, swamps and ditches, at the edge of mid-altitude rainforest or in disturbed vegetation. Calling specimens are usually hidden in very deep vegetation and extremely difficult to observe, although they can be locally common. One egg clutch probably of this species was found in the leaf litter near to a puddle.
Calls: A relatively long and pulsed note, repeated after irregular intervals.
