Description
This is a small slender caecilian, attaining a total body length of 300mm. The eye is covered by bone. The margin of the tongue is free and lacks narial plugs. The tentacle has a small aperture and is located near the eye. The vent is simple, transverse, and slightly lobed. Males possess a simple, straight intermittent organ with ten long fluted folds. The collar is complete with one dorsal groove. Tooth crowns are monocuspid, strongly recurved, and diminish in length posteriorly. A single splenial tooth is present. Scales are small, embedded in the annuli from the 15-26th to the end of the body. Body coloration is brownish gray, slightly lighter on the head with a pale grey patch around the tentacle. The lower jaw, throat, and skin surrounding the vent are pale gray. There is a light gray median stripe on the throat. Glands are indicated by small white spots throughout the skin.
