Description
Bufo signifer is a medium-sized (males to 64 mm, females to 77 mm SVL) member of the Bufo coccifer group that resembles B. coccifer in most features but differs in having thinner parietal cranial crests and in characteristics of the call. It differs from all members of the group in having a cream venter with an overlay of brown-black in a marbled pattern, where as others have nearly immaculate cream venters. This the the eastern-most member of the group.
