Range Description

This recently described species is known from the Lang Bian Plateau, Lam Dong Province, and Buon Luoi, Gia-Lai Province, in Viet Nam, and also from Huey Sapan in Lao People's Democratic Republic (although this locality could not be located and has not been used when mapping this species' range for this assessment). It might occur more widely.

Habitat and Ecology

It is presumably a lowland forest inhabitant that breeds in streams.


This species is known only from the type series.

Major Threats

The threats to it are not known, although it is likely to be impacted by forest loss due to smallholder farming, logging and human settlement.

Conservation Actions

It is not known if this species occurs in any protected areas.
