Description Rana faber, dorsally, is a uniform light tan. Flanks, much of the face, and tympanum are dark brown. Upper lip is pearly white and continuous with pearly white rictal gland. Limbs with distinct darker brown bands. Ventral color is pearly white, ventral color of limbs is pink. Anterodorsally, skin is granular. Posterodorsally, the skin is covered with glandular warts bearing horny spinules. Lower parts of flanks and limbs are smooth. Dark part of forelimb with small glandular warts. This species is rather large, reaching 59.4 mm SVL. Head is longer than wide as well as pointed and slightly protruding anteriorly a distance longer than horizontal diameter of eye. Posterior distance between eyes is two thirds times greater than anterior distance between eyes. Nostrils are oval with a lateral flap of skin, they are also closer to tip of snout than anterior part of eye. Pipil is oval and horizontal. Vomerine ridge of mouth is present, with about 8 small teeth present. Distance between vomerine ridges is the same as the distance from each vomerine ridge to adjacent choanae. Relative length of fingers are 2<1<4<3. Relative length of toes are 1<2<3<5<4. Tips of all toes are pointed with small disks. This species is common and found in many habitats in the Cardamom Mountains, such as: dry dipterocarp, lowland dry evergreen and hill evergreen forest types, moorland areas on the top of the central range, and flooded forest in the Veal Veng wetland. Also found in disturbed areas. Typically found near permanent watercourses.Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors Males have an oval nuptial pad with small cream colored spines. Vocal sacs are present but indistinct externally on throat. Forearm is slightly enlarged in males.
