Description
A medium-sized (Males 26–27 mm), rather flat-headed forest frog from Cameroun, lacking a proper vocal sac but with a non-dilatable glandular area on throat. In the breeding season the males have many black spines on flanks, underside of limbs and feet. Dorsum grass green with diffuse red-brown spots. Legs somewhat lighter and more yellowish. A chrome yellow dorsolateral stripe of variable length. Eye golden green or, in juveniles, reddish. Throat turquoise, breast white, abdomen translucent green. Underside of limbs pale green, feet and hands yellow.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Development. – Seem to breed in very pure and well-aerated water. The eggs are pale green in a transparent jelly. The tadpoles reach a maximum length of 39 mm (13+26), tooth formula 1/3. They are uniformly pigmented brownish. The voice, according to Amiet (1976), is a feeble, barely audible twittering.
