This species is known only from its approximate type locality of Boutry, in south-western Ghana.
Habitat and Ecology
There is no information on its habitat and ecological requirements, which are assumed to be similar to those of most other members of the genus. This species therefore also probably breeds in water.
There have been no recent records of it, presumably due to taxonomic confusion.
There is no information on threats to this species.
Its taxonomic validity needs to be reassessed.
