Range Description

This species is known only from the type locality, "Buala am Uam, Neu Kamerun". Fr├ętey (2007) recently located the type locality in Bouala, at 998 m asl, Central African Republic.

Habitat and Ecology

There is no information on its habitat and ecological preferences, although its requirements are presumably similar to those of most other members of the genus, and it likewise presumably breeds in water.


There is no information on the population status of this species, and there have been no subsequent records of it since its discovery, presumably due to a lack of herpetological work within its range.
