Description
A rather large Leptopelis (males 42-50 mm, females 60-74 mm) from Central Africa. Females and many males have a green dorsum, sometimes with white spots. Throat of calling males blue. Another phase is brown with a darker dorsal triangle, tibia with transverse bars and flanks with fine black points. Juveniles bright green with conspicuous white spots on heels and elbows.

Quite abundant in bushland in the forest belt, and on localities with denser vegetation in the savanna. From western Cameroun to R. D. Congo.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
The voice is a quiet "kai", more melodious that in the other species. Sometimes also a buzzing.
