This species is known only from the type locality, Namosado, in Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, at 930m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
It inhabits the forest floor in tropical rainforest, and is likely to have an aquatic larval stage.
There is no information on its population status, and it has not been recorded since it was first described.
The threats are unknown.
The Extent of Occurrence and population status of the species need to be determined. The type locality is not within a protected area.
