Range Description

This species occurs on Aru Island and in northern, southern, and eastern New Guinea (both Indonesia and Papua New Guinea), up to 1,100m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It lives on the floor of tropical rainforest and lowland dry forest, as well as in teak plantations. It breeds in ephemeral and permanent ponds.

It is very abundant.
