Range Description

This species is known only from Fazenda Água Branca, in the state of Bahia, in eastern Brazil, close to sea level.

Habitat and Ecology

It presumably lives close to, and breeds in, streams in forest, like its congeners.


There is no information on its current population status. There have been no records since it was first collected.

The major threats to this species are probably related to habitat loss due to agricultural development, logging and human settlement.
