Description
A member of the prosoblepon group with the following combination of characters: 1) vomerine dentition absent, 2) bones green in life, 3) anterior ½ of the parietal peritoneum is white, 4) color in life (dorsally) is green with flecks of dark green and cream, 5) dorsal skin finely granular with many small tubercles and wrinkles, 6) prominent ulnar and tarsal folds, 7) humeral spine medium sized, curved posteriorly, 8) bottom ¾ of tympanum visible. Adults are medium sized, males reach a length of 23.6-26.7mm SVL; head as wide as body, where head width is 33.1-36.5% SVL; distance from nostril to anterior portion of eye is 54.5-63.3% of the diameter of the eye; diameter of the eye is 37.2-41.0% length of head; humeral spine visible externally and angled 35º; length of tibia is 55.0-61.3% SVL; ankles can reach anterior portion of snout when adpressed anteriorly.

Known from the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central in the department of Hiula, county of San José de Isnos between 1980 m and 2190 m. Type locality is in the department of Huila, county of San José de Isnos, 1 km NW Isnos, eastern slope of the Cordillera Central, 1° 57´ N, 76° 15´ W, 2190 m.

It also has been reported from Reserva Yanayacu, Provincia del Napo, Ecuador (Guayasamin and Funk 2009).
