This species' distribution is not known. The type locality of "Yoruba (Lagos)" (Peters 1875), Nigeria, is believed to be an error, and it is not possible to map the distribution of this taxon.

The type specimen appears to be an Asian member of the Rhacophoridae (J.-L. Amiet pers. comm.). It cannot be related to any known species in the wild.
