This species is widespread in French Guiana and southern Suriname and Guyana. A dot-map of the distribution in French Guiana is presented in Lescure and Marty (2000). It has been recorded between 200 and 700 m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
This species is usually found in the trees around temporary pools in primary forest. It breeds in these pools and is presumed to breed by larval development based on information from congeners. It has not been recorded from disturbed habitats.
This species is not uncommon, although its population trend is not known.
There are no known threats to this species at present. It occurs in a region of very limited human impact.
This species occurs in Kaw Nature Reserve in French Guiana.
More research into the species' extent of occurrence, ecological requirements and population status is needed.

Listed as Least Concern in view of its wide distribution and presumed large population.
