Known only in the Tanami Desert in the Northern Territory and the adjacent north-eastern arid zone of Western Australia. Only 2 known sites in Western Australia, Stafford's Bore and Well 38 canning Stock Route. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 46900 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Found in an area of red soil and sand plain bearing scattered mulga trees (Acacia aneura) and a dominant understorey of spinifex (Triodia species) and soft grasses.

Trends and Threats
Distribution based on few, scattered records. Little knowledge of its biology or ecology. Found only in remote areas where no significant threatening processes are known to be impacting on the taxon.
