Range Description

This species is only known from Yuexi, Mianning, and Xichang in southern Sichuan Province, China, from 2,600-3,750m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It inhabits small- to medium-sized streams and the surrounding riparian forest. It sometimes also occurs in marshes and at the marshy edges of lakes. Breeding takes place in streams.

The major threat to this species is habitat destruction and degradation caused by logging in the Yuexi area.

It is recorded from the Luojishan, and Panzhihua-Sutielin Nature Reserves.
