Description
Pseudophryne raveni is a common Australian frog characterized by its reddish brown to coppery dorsal color, with a dark lyre shaped marking on the posterior side. The upper lateral surface is usually dark in color and forms a dorsolateral stripe that becomes dots near the hindlegs. Lower lateral surface is reddish brown with dark accentuations. Ventral regions are marbled in white and black and the superior portion of adults is coppery in color. It can be distinguished from other species of Pseudophryne by its reddish dorsal color. P. raveni is similar to P. coriacea, but differs in the color of the sides of the body.
