This species can be found on the western flank of the Cordillera Oriental in Boyacá and Santander Departments, Colombia, at altitudes of 2,200-2,400m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
It inhabits very humid cloud forests, on vegetation above streams, and only occurs in well-preserved forests. Reproduction is by direct development.
This is a rare species that was collected for the last time in 1992. It has not been surveyed for since.
Habitat loss caused by deforestation due to agricultural development and the cultivation of illegal crops is the major threat to this species.
It does not occur in any protected areas.
