Plethodon virginia Highton, 1999

Très proche de P. hoffmani, dont il diffère génétiquement, mais qu’aucun caractère morphologique ne distingue, si ce n’est la présence de populations présentant une bande dorsale rouge étroite. Shenandoah Mountain (y compris Monts South Branch et Nathaniel) à la frontière entre la Virginie et la Virginie Occidentale. 28 sites recensés, plus 6 sites d’hybrides avec hoffmani. 8 470 km2. NT.
