Description
A member of the ocellata group with the following combination of characters: 1) vomerine dentition absent, 2) bones green in life, 3) parietal peritoneum is half white, without pigment on stomach or intestines, 4) color in life is pale green with black speckling, 5) snout is blunt when viewed dorsally and laterally, 6) no ulnar or tarsal folds, 7) humeral spine absent, 8) tympanum is small and is only 2/3 visible due to overlap with the supratympanic fold Adult males reach 22.6-24.1mm SVL, head wider tan body and wider than it is long; head width is 33.2-36.9% SVL, distance between nostril and anterior portion of eye is 53.1-54.8% diameter of eye, nostrils protuberant; large eyes, diameter of eyes is 41-42.5% length of head

Only known from the western slope of the Cordillera Oriental of Colombia between 1660 and 2190m. Type locality is at the department of Caqueta, county of Florencia, vereda Gabinete, 3.1 km below the crest of Alto Gabinete, eastern slope of the Cordillera Oriental of Colombia, 1º 53’ latutude N, 75º 41’ W of Greenwich.
