Northern Queensland coastline between Cooktown and Townsville. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 19600 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Confined to dense rainforest where it lives in the tree canopy and descends to the ground only to breed. Emerges after heavy rain. Details of breeding are unknown but are believed to be similar to the very closely related Litoria chloris.

Trends and Threats
No known declines.

In the past loss of habitat from logging was a threat. Now habitat degradation due to tourism in northern Queenslands rainforest is more a threat.

Conservation Measures
Protected within the National Parks in the Wet Tropics.
