Mc Ilwraith Ranges in far north Queensland. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 32500 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Closely associated with rainforest streams and rocky creek beds. Spring and summer breeders. About 800-900 eggs are laid in a sticky clump. Tadpoles are adapted to flowing water. Development is complete within 60 – 80 days.

Trends and Threats
No known declines and extent of occurrence > 20,000km2.

Threats
In the past habitat loss through logging was a threat. Now threats are more likely to be habitat degradation through recreation or agricultural practices, like grazing, that effect water quality.
