Trends and Threats
This species has not yet been assessed by the IUCN Red List; however, Bornschein et al (2019) analyzed the Brachycephalus species using the IUCN Red List criteria with newer locality information and concluded this species should be listed as Endangered, based on its extremely small known range (less than 2000 hectares), ongoing habitat loss and other factors (criteria B1ab(i,iii)+2ab(ii,iii)).
