Range Description

This species is known only from the type locality, Fenghuang Village, in Shuicheng County in western Guizhou Province, China, from 1,800-1,870m asl. It is likely to occur more widely.

Habitat and Ecology

It inhabits low-gradient streams, in which it breeds, and the surrounding subtropical evergreen broadleaf forests.

Population

It is known only from a singe location. There is no information known regarding the size of the population.
