Range Description

This species is known from five localities at 1,800–2,760 m asl in the Amazonian slopes of the Cordillera Oriental of Pasco Region, central Peru. The limits of its distribution remain unknown. Its EOO is 2,326 km2 and all individuals are considered to occur in three threat-defined locations.

Habitat and Ecology

It is known from the evergreen forests of the Peruvian Yungas, where all the known individuals were found on the ground in open vegetation. This species is presumed to breed by direct development.

Population

It is only known from several specimens and there is no further information on its population status.

There is ongoing deforestation for agriculture and livestock in its range which is likely to be a threat to this forest-dwelling species, however the extent to which these activities affect this species remains unknown (E. Lehr pers. comm. April 2017).
