Range Description

This species is known only from Mount Longtou, in Anlong County, Guizhou Province, China, where it has been recorded from 1,480-1,550m asl. It might occur more widely.

Habitat and Ecology

It inhabits shaded hill streams 2-3m wide in forested areas, and breeds in these streams.

Population

It is rare at its single known locality.
