M 34-55 mm, F 44 mm. Morphologically similar to G. tornieri, but differs by its shorter hand length (ratio HAL/SVL 0.26-0.30 vs. 0.32-0.35). Often a light bar between the eyes (Glaw and Vences 2007).
Distribution and Habitat
Country distribution from AmphibiaWeb's database: Madagascar
Lowlands of eastern Madagascar (Foulpointe, near Ifanadiana, near Toamasina, Voloina) and the offshore island of Nosy Boraha (Ile Saint Marie) (Glaw and Vences 2007). Found in in heavily degraded forest and secondary vegetation at some distance from primary forest (Vences and Andreone 2006).
