Range Description

This species is widespread in the north coastal ranges from the Adelbert Range in the east, to the Bewani Mountains in the west, and in the Star Mountains in the south of Papua New Guinea. It has been recorded up to 1,320m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

This species is restricted to the interior and edge of tropical rainforest. It breeds by direct development.

Population

It is has been observed to be locally abundant.

There are no known threats to this species.

Further documentation of the species' distribution is needed. There are a couple of protected areas within the species range.
